Your grandma made much better chicken pot pie than my mother did! My mother's homemade whole grain bread is a favorite I remember. It made the best toast--ever.

What a wonderful culinary memory and story, and I’m definitely going to try the recipe! I’m a huge fan of chicken pot pie, but have never added saffron. Yum!
