Love the thermometer that shows both C and F. My mom kept a temperature diary for years. She looked out her bedroom window which had an outside thermometer and recorded her readings. Not sure why? But if we said we remember that a certain year had this or that weather— she was like Google and could fact check you! 😅
What an appropriate remembrance. Honestly, I did not notice that the thermometer registered both C and F. My eyes always looked left for Fahrenheit- ha!
It's sunny and warm here, nowhere near hot. We have the occasional heatwave in the summer but nothing like the soul-sapping heat and humidity of Florida. The winters are warmer than they used to be, even twenty years ago. I think this is a direct result of global warming.

Thanks for posting it here, Ann!
Marian, I love your article titles!
You are good to notice. I would say, "It takes one to know one!"
I like that all your thriller book titles begin with the letter I, a rather unusual choice.
What a lovely post! I enjoyed reading about aunt Ruthie and seeing these artifacts. Thank you for writing and sharing.
Thank you for noticing and also commenting, Georgine. I've written other posts about the indomitable Aunt Ruthie.
Best wishes on your memoir publication. It's hard but so, so rewarding!
Marian, I love seeing her diary and reading about her daily life. A sweater in July?? Love just the ordinary life stories, which are so interesting.
Yes, these stories are ordinary, but seen through the long lens of time seem extraordinary now. . . at least to me.
I agree. They are so important and extraordinary now. Just reminds us that we all have stories to tell.

I agree: more people--a larger carbon footprint. It adds up unfortunately, Liz!
